A career in real estate has been a dream of Sterling’s for many years, and in 2022, her dream became a reality. After enjoying a health care career for more than 15 years, she decided to follow her passion and pursue a career in real estate. Throughout her time in health care, Sterling has kept her real estate passion alive helping sellers stage their homes, builders select home finishes, and new home owners with decorating.
In 2015 Sterling had the opportunity to work with HGTV to decorate a home on the popular Beachfront Bargain Hunt: Renovation. Sterling said that experience helped her appreciate real estate from a whole new perspective.
What Sterling loves about real estate is much of what she loved about health care – people. She believes that people are what make an exciting and potential emotional health care event successful, and people are what make an exciting and potentially emotional home buying/selling experience successful. Sterling is able to use her passion for people and homes to ensure a successful home buying and selling experience.
Sterling grew up in eastern North Carolina, earned a degree in Communications from Meredith College and a master’s from NC State University, and moved to Rocky Mount in 2008. She and her husband John Grimes, farm in Edgecombe County and have two boys, Carr and Reade.
Sterling loves Eastern North Carolina and believes it’s a wonderful area to live, work, play and invest! She enjoys working with Foote Real Estate Group and sharing her passion and expertise with her clients.
